FC Students Participate in Summer STEM Institute at CSUF

csuf14 Fullerton College students completed the Summer STEM Institute held at California State University Fullerton from June to July 2016.

The Institute is offered as part of the Orange County Teacher Pathway Partnership which includes Rancho Santiago College, Fullerton College, Santa Ana College and Cal State Fullerton. During the Institute, students were taught by JPL/NASA educators, created a Weebly website, attended applied pedagogies and Science courses taught by CSUF staff as dual enrollment, and gained teaching experience while working with school-aged children through a partnership with Anaheim Achieves.

Fullerton College students who participated represented several campus organizations including SCTA (Student California Teachers Association), Teacher Pathway Program and Robot Nation.

Sophia Arrieta, Margaret Donovan and Emily Ortiz received special recognition and spoke at the closing ceremony held on July 28, 2016.
