FC Faculty Dr. Wu Recipient of 2017 Hayward Award
Natural Sciences professor Dr. Jo Wen Wu is one of four winners for the 2017 Hayward Award.
The Hayward Award is awarded to four faculty members every year for outstanding excellence in teaching and commitment to their students, profession and institution. Presented by the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges, each awardee is nominated by their fellow peers in their faculty senate. Each recipient receives a plaque and a $1,250 cash award.
Dr. Wu was also the recipient for the Fullerton College Teacher of the Year award in 2016 and in 2013. She served as the FC Science Club advisor for 20 years, and currently participates in various advisory boards and programs at Fullerton College and other educational institutions in the area. Dr. Wu has made science and student success attainable to the community through her involvement and creation various educational science programs and activities.
