Celebrate Black Student Success Week from April 21-25
Join Fullerton College in celebrating the sixth annual Black Student Success Week from April 21-25, 2025. This year’s theme, Lift Up, Level Up: The Rise of Black Serving Institutions, highlights our commitment to serving underserved students, including Black and African American students, and ensuring their success in community college and beyond.
In 2020, a dedicated coalition of leaders and advocates within the California Community Colleges pioneered the creation of Black Student Success Week. Observed during the last week of April, this annual event offers a time to reflect on our commitment to the academic well-being of underserved students, including but not limited to Black and African American students.
The Umoja Village will stream the Black Hour webinars from noon to 1 p.m., with light refreshments provided. In addition to the events hosted by the State Chancellor’s office, the college will host a webinar offering an overview of the Fullerton College study abroad program, covering topics on how to apply, finance the experience and hear from students and faculty about upcoming opportunities.
