Paloma Foster and Julianne Le Named 2023 Students of the Year

Graduating students Paloma Foster and Julianne Le were named the 2023 Students of the Year at the annual Students of Distinction celebration on May 5. They are among 20 students selected as the 2023 Students of Distinction. Recipients were selected through a nomination process involving faculty, staff, and fellow students. The awards are divided into four achievement categories: Academic, Competitive, Personal and Service.

Foster is a political science major who served as the 2022-2023 student trustee for Fullerton College. She has advocated for students and led voter registration efforts on campus. Le is an English major who became involved in the school’s community through opportunities like the Hornets Tutoring program and the student newspaper, The Hornet. Foster and Le were honored with 18 other students at the ceremony on May 5.

Each student will receive a scholarship sponsored by Associated Students, Dr. Janet and Henry Emoto, Schlinger Students of Distinction, Fullerton College Faculty Wives, District Management Association (DMA), various donors from Fullerton College, and the Friends of the Fullerton College Foundation.
