Timely Warning: Injury Reported Following an Attempted Cell Phone Robbery
FULLERTON, CA – At approximately 1:45 P.M., Campus Safety received a report of an incident occurring between Buildings 200 and 100, located off Chapman Avenue. An unknown suspect was reported wielding a knife, injuring a victim’s hand in an attempted cell phone robbery.
The suspect quickly fled the scene and was last seen going eastbound on Commonwealth Avenue. The suspect is reported to be a white or Hispanic male, about 6 feet tall, with dark black hair, and was last seen wearing a white shirt.
Campus Safety and Fullerton Police Department quickly arrived on scene and escorted the victim to a local hospital where they are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The victim is not a current student or employee of our campus.
Campus Safety and Fullerton Police Department are continuing their investigation. Students and employees are reminded to please be aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious behavior to Campus Safety and/or Fullerton Police Department immediately.
