At Fullerton College, events and guest speakers will include:

  • My Underground Dream with Julissa Arce: Listen to Julissa’s incredible story from being undocumented to a vice president at Goldman Sachs from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 14 in Building 100, President’s Lobby.
  • Author, Poet, Playwright Yosimar Reyes: Don’t miss a chance to meet Yosimar, a nationally acclaimed poet, educator, performance actor and speaker, from noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23 in Building 2400, Room 107.
  • “I Stand with Immigrants Action Day” is Tuesday, Oct. 15, a day that is organized by the national I Stand With Immigrants / I Am An Immigrant Initiative to celebrate and uplift the stories of America’s immigrants. To participate in this event at Fullerton College, the Grads to Be Program will be offering free “I Stand with Immigrants Day” shirts during our Undocu 101 workshop and Medi-cal assistance lab, as supplies last.

This year’s theme is “Education and Career UndocuDreams Made Possible.” The week-long event aims to create an environment that promotes a collaborative campus approach to ensure all students can achieve their goals, regardless of their citizenship status. Throughout the week, California Community Colleges will offer support, resources and learning opportunities to our undocumented student population and districtwide community.
