Fullerton College Honors Filipino American History Month

This October, Fullerton College proudly celebrates Filipino American Heritage Month. This month-long celebration encourages the reflection on Filipino American history and influence while empowering those in the community to embrace their identities, lived experiences and voices.

Throughout the month, the Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Amplified team is hosting a special event in honor of its second Filipino American History Month celebration in the history of Fullerton College.

Join us at the Filipina Professionals Career Panel from 12:30-2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2 in Building 2400, Room 107. Free Filipino Food will be provided. The event aims to kick off Filipino American History Month as three empowered panelists share their journey navigating their careers:

  • Chloe Serrano, Former Student Trustee and current University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) student
  • Dr. Gabbie Aquino Adriatico, Assistant Professor at California State University, Fullerton’s (CSUF) Master of Social Work program
  • Mari-Anne De Castro-Miralles, Founder and Executive Director of Kabataan Culture Filipino Enrichment Program
