Administration of Justice Faculty Earns OC Investigator of the Year Award
Administration of Justice Adjunct Faculty, Deanna Hartman, was named the 2024 Orange County (OC) Investigator of the Year. The award was given to Hartman by District Attorney, Todd Spitzer.
Hartman has extensive law enforcement experience with the Cypress Police Department, having investigated many complex crimes across Orange County. Some of the crimes she investigated include assault, homicide, domestic violence and more. Today, she serves at the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, where her exceptional skills led to the conviction of a male nanny who victimized 17 children.
Due to her hard work and dedication, she was recently promoted to supervising investigator in the science and technology collections unit for the OC District Attorney’s Office.
Hartman earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees in fine art and art history from Chapman University. She is also a graduate of the Fullerton College police academy.
Her service in the classroom and field is an inspiration for Fullerton College students, showing the endless possibilities of obtaining a career in criminal justice.
