Spring Job Fair Connects Students with Potential Employers
More than 50 companies and organizations will be on campus Wednesday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to recruit students at the annual job fair on the quad. Students are encouraged to come dressed for success and bring numerous copies of their updated resume.
Employers are looking for potential employees who have recently completed a certificate program, will be earning a college degree, or are in the midst of a program of study and require an internship or a part-time job. Whatever the case may be, the Workforce Center at Fullerton College has been connecting students and the community with job opportunities for over 40 years with their annual job fair.
The fair is designed to provide students with direct access to leading employers, networking opportunities, and the chance to market one’s independent skills. “There are so many benefits to students attending the job fair,” said Chrystal VanBeyen, director of the Workforce Center at FC. “Students will have an opportunity to practice their elevator pitch, learn what skills employers are looking for, and in general, just build confidence.”
Students will have an opportunity to connect with recruiters from companies such as Wells Fargo, KDOC TV, ChildCare Careers, UPS and IKEA. Wells Fargo bank has attended Fullerton College’s job fair several years and continuously hires qualified employees originating from FC’s job fair, VanBeyen added.
Students are encouraged to bring at least 50 copies of their resume and come dressed professionally. Free parking will be located on Level 1 of the parking structure. For more information contact the Workforce Center at (714) 992-7136 or visit http://workforce.fullcoll.edu/default.asp
